    How Can One Suffering from Mito Compete? And Why?

    Mitochondrial Disease ("Mito" for short) is when the Mitochondria fails to produce the energy the body requires. For illustration - if the normal body produces 100% energy, patients with Mito produce only 80% of the energy the body requires.

    ... the body's energy "bank." The more stress, work, and overall activity - the less energy is available to sustain that activity. While stress and work tires all of us, Mito patients are already  "under water" since they have less energy to begin with.

    ... therapeutic intervention (remedy) to slow down Mito's progression is Exercise. Muscles keep cells in reserve to draw on for exercise.  So, for illustrative purposes, when you exercise, you get a boost in energy from 100% to 120%. The Mito patient gets a boost from 80% to 100%
